“This was the most incredible day of our lives and Briar House Barns is truly a stunning and unique venue. David, the owner, could not have been more helpful – nothing was too much trouble, he didn’t up any prices for anything extra we asked for, (for example, sending our photographer up a cherry picker for a group arial photo!) We had 120 in the day and an extra 50/60 in the evening, and the space was wonderful. The caterers had their own private area again with loads of space. It was a magical day, and party in the evening on the dancefloor, fireworks with the beautiful surrounding countryside adding to the atmosphere.” Becky, Feb 2023

“A huge thank you to David and all the team at Briar House Barns for absolutely the best day of our lives! When we began looking for wedding venues around 10 months before the ‘big day’, first of all we were completely wowed by the stunning location – the sheer size of the barn meant we could invite more people than we thought possible, and also the flexibility of the venue to be transformed any way you like, theme, etc. It looks very elegant with the long white drapes covering the walls and beautiful lanterns lighting up the day time, and your choice of amazing colourful lights for an ambient evening. This might not apply to everyone of course but we really wanted to do a lot of the wedding ourselves – decorations, favours, place cards and so on, to give it that extra touch. It was also very refreshing to meet someone like David, who was so completely accommodating to all of our needs (and frequent emails and questions!) – he made us feel like ours was the only wedding going on this year, when in fact he has had dozens of others to organise and other manic brides to help. We loved the fact that to hire the Barn was a one-off cost – no extras for chairs, tables, ports-loos, etc. It was amazing having total use of the grounds, so if you are lucky with the weather there are some stunning views for pictures. Little things made all the difference, like being able to be in the venue the day before to set up, our guests being able to leave their cars in the car park over night with no issues, being able to use caterers of our choosing, although David also has many recommendations on caterers, florists, photographers, in fact we found our photographer through him. Many of our guests commented on the wow-factor of the venue. The room is a perfect size, even to have a mad party down one end and people still sitting comfortably chatting down the other.
